I'm 21, and last April I had an abnormal pap. I didn't get a colposcopy done because I figured it would go away. Well,in October I went back and had another abnormal pap, and got the colposcopy done. I had CIN II and had a LEEP done in December. My doctor told me the tissue from the LEEP was clean. I waited til June to go back (but I went to a new doctor) and I have CIN II again. Has anyone had it come back so quickly? I have my pre-op appointment on Wednesday, and that's when I'm scheduling the surgery. My doctor said that my HPV has flare ups, and this is one of them. But am I going to have to have a LEEP every six months? Because that's the way it's going at the moment. Thank you!
Trust me...it won't just go away unfortunately :( Not when it gets to a certain stage. From my experience it can come back super quick! I had my first Leep on March 1st for carcinoma in situ. Before my three month wait was up for my pap check up it was back already. I truthfully don't know if my doc missed it on the first Leep or if it came back that quick, but she said it is very possible for it to come back like that. Please just keep your doctor appts... She told me a story when I was in for my last colposcopy. She had a patient with the same as me...carcinoma in situ...and she had her Leep done, but didn't come for her checkups, and now she's back one year later with full blown cervical cancer. I hope for the sake of both of us that a Leep every six months isn't the case, but that's the direction i'm headed as well...
