Subject: Carac Cream- What about the powdery residue?
Date: 07/16/2007

I'm starting week 4 of 0.5% Carac cream daily.  I've nicknamed the treatment "Hamburger Helper" because that's what my face looks like these days.

That's bearable, but the hardest to deal with has been the powdery residue.  About 2 hours after the stuff dries my entire area's got a powder coating to it.  This causes runny eyes, etc.  I don't think it's an allergice reaction, but just having that much fine powder floating around my eyes and nose.

Anyone with similar experiences?  It takes a good rinsing in the office mens room to get rid of it, but it's not a pleasant experience.

Thanks

Hi, I just went on this website for the first time and read your email. I used Carac Cream as a "test" on an area of  my left leg. I also just finished my 4th week---but never noticed the "powdery residue" that you mentioned.  I just noticed the oozing and itching and swelling of that area from it.

Today, I went to the Dermatologist and she told me to use the cream on my entire legs !!!!!!   Lord----I don't know if I will be able to stand the pain. She told me that it will be worth it in the end.  I don't know what will come first--me getting better--or me going broke from the expense ($65.17) co-pay !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please let me know how you're doing and if you experienced the same symptoms that I had.  Hope you don't look like "Hamberger Helper" now !!!!

I also have the powdery residue which is also irritating, mostly to my eyes. I am on my 5th day of treatment with Carac. Not so bad just red spots and a little red blotchiness. My friends have nick named me powder.
