My husband had a CT scan yesterday that showed a 2cm spot on his pancreas. The gastro Doc told him to wait and see basicly for 6 month for a repeat CT scan. Does this seem normal? I am mildly alarmed at this opinion and wonder if we should seek a second???Any helpwould be appriciated.

My Mom has Stage IV Colon Cancer.

We went to the Cancer Institute of New Jersey and that is what they told her to do. Wait 6 months and repeat the scan OR begin chemo.

Who in their right mind will sit there for 6 months and let this BEAST grown within? Find another doctor and get going on the fight!!

That's just my opinion because Mom is in this for the fight of her life!!!!

My local hospital found about a 2cm mass on my pancreas. They wanted to do exploritory surgery. Finially, they decided I needed a scope down to my pancreas. There is only a few places in Florida which preforms the test. I give God the credit for sending me to the Mayo in Jacksonville. At the end, I had a 4cm mass, Stage IV pancreatic cancer which had spread to my lymph nodes and liver. If I had waited 6 months, I would be dead. My opinion is to find someone who specializes in pancreatic cancer. I am lucky mine was slow growing. good luck dawnella
