I just had my Thyrogen injections  and Whole Body Scan done and did not do Low Iodine Diet. Is that right? I also took my Syntroid as usial. My results came back clear. I hope it is right results. Do you have to do Lid before Thyrogen an WBS to check thyca status? Thanks a lot for your help.

E Komo Mai ( Welcome)

I had my thyrogen injections in April '07.  My cancer doctor kept me on my regular diet too.  As for my thyroid meds, I was taken off my synthroid and put on cytomel.  Then, I went a whole month without anything to prepare me for RAI.  Every case is different.

You have great news that your results came back clear.  So, does that mean you do not need RAI?  Good luck to you for a speedy recovery.

If you get a chance, please read my story on this cancer compass website "Cancer Again! Now What?" pg. 9 dated 1/07.

Take Care & God Bless.

Aloha, Paulette
