Subject: severe sleep apnea while hypo?

Has anyone experienced sleep apnea while hypo? I am on day 10 off cytomel for my RAI next week. Last night was a complete nightmare.  It seemed like my breathing was so depressed I kept waking up kicking and fighting for air. Gasping and panting I would then have to calm it down again, just to repeat the cycle 15 minutes later. After 7,or 8 times I was crying and afraid to lay back down. I ended up putting a small fan blowing toward my face and it helped. I slept lighter with 2 much less severe incidents toward morning. This has me completely freaked out. Besides being hypo, I did have a small glass of wine with dinner. Do you think its possible the addition of alcohol however small could contribute so markedly? Please anyone with anything to share?

I had that happen to me several times while hypo.  I would wake up because if felt like I had stopped breathing in my sleep.  I just thought it was my sinuses.  I did not tell anyone because I never thought it was related to being hypo.  I guess it is though.  I
