Yes, I was diagnosed with breast cancer in Sept. 2003 and diagnosed with thryoid cancer recently. Actually I'm scheduled for surgery next week. I had no symptoms but my endo, who was following me for an unrelated problem, found a nodule on my thyroid as well. Ultrasound actually picked up 6 nodules, 3 on each side and an abnormal lymph node. I know at least two of the 6 nodules are papillary thryoid cancer and the lymph node which I was really concerned about, thinking of the possibility of it being related to my BC is also thyroid cancer. This was confirmed using needle aspiration. I got the results right away. The prognosis for thryoid cancer is much better than for many other cancers including BC, particulary if you are under 40 years old and female. The treatment is very effective although a long process. Your doctor is right in being on top of this but most thyroid nodules they say are benign. But again if it turns out to be a problem it is very, very treatable with a very good prognosis. Best wishes!
