My father was diagnosed 6 months ago, with Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. He lives in Washington State, and I am in the US Air Force, stationed in New Mexico. It isn't impossible, but it's not easy to get home. I have orders and thought it would be okay, but now he has 2 months left from what the doctor has told us. I hope I will get to be with him. Just wondering if anyone has any advice. I am trying to learn all that I can...maybe there is more for him.

Thank You,
SG

Hi sara.....just found this site tonight...I also have non-hodgkins. Was diagnosed in 2000...they found my lymph nodes to be enlarged in the abdomen. To date I have not had any treatments and the nodes have all shrunk. I started taking a variety of liquid minerals and vitamins right away to build up my immune system to fight. I also found a product called MGN-3. I has been found to help tremendously. I am in the process of looking for another product that i like the MGN-3 as the FDA has pulled it from the market...guess they didn't like the fact that it helped people who have cancer. Just thought I would let you know how I am coping with it.

Thank you very much Sandy. I know he is looking for alternative medicines, but we keep running into road blocks. I really appreciate your situation. Let me know if you find an alternative to MGN-3. Thanks!

Don't know what your dad's history is, but you might ask your doc about Thalidomide. I read a study about good responses in people who failed every treatment for nhl. See ASCO 2004, Abstract 6672.

Also, Bexxar or Zevalin.

Good Luck,
Ravgil

I'm so sorry that you have this monster in your life and I wish you strength and courage.

Washington State's facilities are right up there with the best...I'm in Alaska and have had to travel to Seattle for treatment, etc.

Can you obtain details on your Dad's diagnosis? There are 22, 23 or so types on NHL each with their own issues.

I've spent alot of time in the last 6 years in this issue and would be glad to help.
