Keep myself pretty much isolated the first couple of days and used separate bathroom and bedroom. We have no small children so just myself and husband. I was really scared before the treatment, but it was no big deal. I am now feeling much better, but that really took a while-longer than I thought it would take. Good Luck. Kept isolated in the guest room and had my own bathroom for several days and then kept my distance from hubby and teenage son for the next week or so. I was pretty miserable while hypo so RAI was pretty uneventful and was staying isolated at home. I guess, given the choice, I would much rather be at home....at least the family could talk to me through the door once in awhile and I could sleep in my own bed! I had my RAI treatment on June 11th. I took a week off of work, so I could be isolated. I stayed at my home. My mother took my son to a hotel for the first 3 days of my isolation. He is 11 years old. I did not want him around me at all. The RAI was not bad at all. I had a small dose of 33. The whole experience was uneventful. I took the RAI in a pill form. I had really built myself up for something else, but it was nothing more than going to the hospital, swollowing the pill and going home. It was pretty boring being isolated by myself. Good thing for cell phones and picture capabilities. At least I got to catch up on some t.v. shows. Peace and quiet. Take Care & God Bless.
