hello to all who have been such a support to me and my husband, jim. it has been an emotional roller coaster ride for a week now. we discovered jim's cancer has returned evidently while he was still on the chemo, even before he made the decision that he did not want to take it anymore. there is nothing to be done anymore except prayer. we have so many people who love us and support us through this time. we are bringing him home from the hospital and setting him up with hospice. thank you all. i will still keep in touch. jimandkathy

Kathy,  My heart is breaking for you and Jim. You sound like you are being strong , but I know your heart is breaking. We will pray for you both, may God Bless you.  We are praying that Jim is comfortable and pain free. Please do keep in touch. My husband has his next cat scan at the end of August. So far his scans have been negative for active cancer. We pray the next scan is clean...  Our love prayers and continued best wishes..

Your family will be in my prayers. I have gone thru Hospice-guided care with my sister & father in the last 8 months. They both had brain mets; sister w/breast cancer & dad w/lung cancer. I hope you have help, especially at night, which is the hardest when pain & anxiety meds need administered every 2 hours (alternately). I had no one to help, so I basically slept with one eye open for months. But, this is necessary to ensure your loved one does not experience pain, anxiety, or difficulty breathing. I have been where you are and God Bless you! The thing that helped me thru all of this is knowing they are going to a better place. Remember, God sometimes takes the best of us to give the rest of us another chance.
