Bone Marrow Biopsy

Subject: bone marrow biopsy
Date: 08/01/2007
I was just diagnosed with Essential Thrombocytosis yesterday-platelet count 740. I had the ultrasound for detection of spleen enlargement and will be having a bone marrow biopsy next Thursday. Can anyone allay my fears about this procedure? I have heard so many different stories. Jean
