Hi, My husband was just diagnosed with stage four adeanocarcinoma, we are at the best place on eath for treatment. We are in Tulsa, Ok. at Cancer Treatment Centers of America, It is the best for success. Do you have that option?Where are you living?Yes she will loose her hair, but that is nothing. If you have the ability to get her here , your chances of sucess will multiply. Call them at 918-286-5000. They will fly your mom down, with her caregiver. Do you have insurance. Please e-mail me. Let me know How I can help. I will pray for both of you. Virginia

My mom had both radiation and chemo. She lost her hair but that was due to the chemo. The side effect from the radiation is as the radiation goes on you get more tired. My mother also about 4 months after the radiation she developed radiation phnumenitis(i think that is how it is spelled). That is scarring of the lungs and it made it very difficult for her to breathe. That side effect is rare for radiaiton but it does happen. Good luck with your mom and be there for her, I wish I could be with my mom now but she passed away on June 21.

Thanks for the information.Ireally do apperciate it.Mother took 10 days of radiation and she seems to be doing fair. The radiation doctor said for us to come back in 2 weeks and they would x-ray and ct to see how everything looks. He said maybe we won't have to do more but we will have to see at that time.mother is very tired and has a terrible taste in her mouth. But we have to leave it in gods hands i sure hope my mother is around a very long time but that is not up to us.I am very sorry for your loss i cannot even imange what it would be like to lose my mother.I lost my son,daughter-in-law and her parents on august 28,2004 and i am still living with the grief from that.I just want you to know i am so sorry for your loss.TAKE CARE,
