I have a malignant PLGA (polymorphous low grade adenocarcinoma) in the left posterior hard palate. This type tumor travels on the nerve path thru the cavernous sinus area of the head. Has ANYONE had any experience with this. Current information is to do radical surgery on the facial area to remove what portion of the tumor possible and treat with radiation and possibly chemo. Looking for alternative options if available and help from anyone who has had this type cancer.

Do not have any sinus polops, cnacer is in the sinus gland. do not have a firm prognosis. still looking for alternative treatments. some cancers may have traveled along the nerve paths toward the skull base. appreciate your reply.

Had procedure in April of 05 to remove tumor in upper palate. Surgery was a success. Was followed up by Gamma Knife radiation treatment and 37 days of IMRT radiation treatment. NO kemo used. Had little problem with the radiation treatment. Used GOJI juice during all of the radiation treatment. At one point I stopped using the GOJI and developed several mouth sore spots. After resumption of GOJI the sore spots were gone within 2 days?? Current health is good and improving steadly. Have had some hearing loss in left ear due to surgery. Surgeon used a graft flap in my mouth to cover the removed palate hole. Have not had any speech problems or throat issues. Excellent surgeon, one of only several in country that does this type of surgery.
