Reflux

I'm 5 weeks into an 8 week cisplatin/radiation program for squamacell in my neck, and just starting to use the PEG.  I've tried everything to keep from getting reflux, which, when mixed with my SAE 140 weight siliva, just gags me.  What's the trick to keeping this stuff in your stomach?  I'm trying unflavored Jevity 1.5, and a pump, but I'm not sure it'll work any better than just doing it slow by hand.  My stomach must be the size of a tea bag!  Lately, I've been getting all my calories from beer, and I don't have any reflux from that.

It's especially bad at night, it seems like I'm not digesting this stuff.  Do I have to sleep setting up?

Consequent on Whipple surgery in 1998, I have had constant bile refluxes, in spite of bile diversion surgery, and my stomach takes 24 hrs to empty. Motilium 10 mg (domperidoma) 3 times a day after meals helps to speed up stomach emptying and Pariet 20 mg (proton pump inhibitor) first thing in the morning plus liquid Sucrafilm 2 g before sleeping seem to help. I also invested in an electric bed and raise the head to about 45 degrees. In fact, very recently, I started a prolonged antibiotic treatment (Zinnat 500 twice a day) to try and eradicate proliferating E.Coli in my urinary tract and this is helping, but is probably not yr case (E.Coli). Further bile diversion surgery (other type) may be necessary.
