HI My name is Jackie and I had a whipple done Aoril 10th,07 it was a really tough surgery. I did have my stomach cut and gallbladder removed. I have a tough time eating and haven't gained a pound since the surgery. I lost over 20lbs. I only weighed 118 when I had my surgery. I had a mass on the head of my pancreas which did not end up to be cancer. My questioned to anyone who had this procedure done is I Just statred to have this sense of rawness in the back of my throat it doesn't feel like heartburn or acid reflux. I had to have another test test done. This test was EGD which is the scope that goes down your throat. They found that my tomach was not emptying fast enough and put me on this medication called carafate which did not work. I do take a prilosec every morning. I also burp alot and it feels like I burp up carbonation and I don't drink soda at all. I do get diarrhea and I do vomit at times. I am getting back my stamina and I do walk 20 minutes everyday. Will enzymes from the health food store help with my problem?
