Subject: Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma
Date: 08/12/2007

Does anyone know exactly what this is about - except that it's very rare - and high-grade in my husbands case.  Not curable - and are there any symptoms?  Because it's so rare I don't think there is much to know on this cancer and I'm digging to find out what I can.

He's very healthy (60 years old) right now.  The radiologist and chemologist won't do anything right now because he has no symptoms.  What symptoms would there be?  I know this is a fast growing cancer - because the one in his throat area grew from a bean to a walnut in 2 1/2 weeks.  It's located now in his thorac and lower right lung.

Please give me what you can.  Thanks.

I have this cancer.  I had surgery to remove a lump on the hard palette of my mouth. Surgery removed all the skin areas ..however the found cancer in the bone as well.  Now  I'm told that the bone must be removed and a denture like device must be put in. I have a consult on 28th for this surgery.  Intend to ask alot of questions.  will keep informed.

Thanks Hank for replying.  Husband is on second round of chemo - he was in remission for 3 months and last PET scan showed 2 more places.  They're smaller but not gone.  He's so miserable with this chemo treatment that he's to the point of thinking of not having anymore.  I told him he has to be strong and continue.  God has it under control no matter what.

Hope your doing well.

I'm so sorry to hear that you have this.  There really is not much on this cancer that I can find.  I've been looking for what happens in  the final stages and what are they?  I want to know what to expect to  not be surprised to know better how to take care of my husband.

Please write and let me know how you are doing.  God bless.
