What foods were easiest for you to handle immediately after the Whipple Procedure?  We will ask the surgeon & oncologist, but it would be helpful to hear from those of you who have first hand experience. Thanks

jim especially liked fresh orange slices, grapefruit, apple juice and he began to drink tea. coffee tasted bad for a long time after the whipple. he liked soft foods like pudding and ice cream, especially milk shakes. don't expect too much right away. and try to avoid foods that cause alot of gas. i think people are all different so just try small amounts of different kinds of foods and see what tastes best. sincerely jimandkathy

It was hard for me to eat at first after my whipple, and didn't have much appetite.  I would eat Mac and Cheese, and deffinately some ensure.  Chocolate is my favorite.
