may be this will sound weird, my dad was dx with NSCLC on May 2007, he has gone through radiation only and is supposed to see his oncologist doc. on Aug 22, we are getting Tarceva for free(since no income no insurance) but my dad owes 61,895.45 to the hospital the insurance he has is only emergency does not cover the outside cure at all.
My question is the billing keeps calling and i dont know what to say, my mom and dad live with me i have 2 kids my husband is the only one wotking right now, i cant effort payments or they are asking at least 15,000.00
He is not a U.S citiezen so cant get charity, i dont want to offend anyone but when different foundation call, i have donated to Children's Foundation with Leukima some times we never ask what they are, we treat everyone the same (sick and in need) that all it matters.
Anyway is just to much at this time having to deal with the disease and having to worry about the money also
They are threating that is going to go to collection and oi dont want that either, does that mean that if my dad may need a Catscan or wahtever done at that hospital they propably will say no right since he hasnt paid?
I wished i had the money and paid his bills, i know he needs care for the rest if the time now, and for now just the meds that he takes for pain, blood sugar, hypertension, stomach, some med for his throat they are like 6 meds we have to pay cash.
He cant have medicare ven though he is 66 cause he is not US citiezen.
Anyone lese has this problem?
