Date: 08/20/2007 hello my name is crystal i'm 23 years old and on thursday Augest the 16th i was diagnosed with the beginning stages of jaw cancer. i have set up an appointment to get a second opinion and get a treatment plan set up. i'm at a total loss i don't know what to expect. my biggest problem at the moment is that i have a lot of people depending on me to be there. you see i'm a single mother and a teacher. my kids have been through a lot in the past year and i don't know if it would be best for them if i just steped down untill i'm healthy again or if i stayed..... Date: 08/20/2007 Hi Crystal, I am so sorry, But welcome. This place is great and there are so many of us, that answers will come. My thoughts are that you take this one day at a time. I am not sure what your plan will be, but trying to keep your life as normal as possible is what worked for me. Listen to your body and don't over do.
