Does anyone have experience with the stage II clinical trial for a drug administered as PS-341 with carboplatin and paclitaxel (for metastasized melanoma)? PS-341 is actually Velcade, which is approved to treat multiple myeloma.

I am specifically interested in the following:

1) how many treatments you or your loved one made it through.

2) were you able to get rid of all the tumors?

3) regardless of whether or not there were still tumors when you stopped treatment, how many months passed post-treatment without any disease progression?

My mom is in the study right now and we're wondering how long she should keep it up.

Thank you.
