Hello to all of my fellow RCC participants.

My doctor's appointment this past week yielded continued good news. The CT/PET scan showed no signs of cancer. I has now been 18 months since any signs of tumors and 16 months since I stopped taking Sutent.

Yes I did. Two interesting "events" while on Sutent have disappeared now that I am off Sutent. First, my hair (on my head, arms, legs and eyebrows) had all turned white. They are now back to their original brown color and maybe even a little bit darker. Secondly, all foods taste like they did before which makes eating enjoyable once again (of course my wife sould say that it really never slowed me down :)

Bunker,

I just want to say that you are awesome to continue to share your news and keep everyone up to date on your progress.  I can't thank you enough.  I have gotten more useful information from you and this board than anywhere else, including the dr.  I give him the info I learn here.  And I also tell everyone I know about you.

Stay healthy and God Bless You and your whole family!

Debbie

This is great news!  I'm new to the board, any more updates. How are you doing now.  My fiance has been on Sutent since July of 06, he's thinking/hoping they'll take him off of it soon since his scans have been so good.  Your story is so inspirational!

Hello Katrayle,

I'm sorry to read about your fiance but he is lucky to have someone who is out "researching" on his behalf. You have found a very good website to learn more about RCC. Things are still fantastic with me and I'm looking forward to my next scan which will occur in mid-Dec.. If there are any questions that I can answer for either you or your fiance please don't hestitate to ask.

Bunker.
