My mother is going through treatment for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She will be going through Surgery to remove the tumor from her Intesting (Jejunum area).
I am exploring options for Chemo that has to be given after that. We are going through treatment in India as my mom lives here. Here the Insurance covers only upto some amount. Now the Doc has told us about either doing CHOP or going with R-CHOP. The only thing is Rituxin (which is available from Roche here) is sold at International prices, which is about $2000 per dose and is not covered under her insurance.
The question is, if someone goes through Surgery ( which removes all of the tumor ), then is R-CHOP helpful compared to CHOP?
