Has anyone heard of xeloda for head and neck cancer.   My husband was

given up by Drs.  about a year and a half ago.  So we found new Dr.

who prescribed xeloda and erbitux.   Within 3 wks.  tumor on neck and

collar bone was gone.  But unfortunatly so was new Dr.(suddenly)

So, when we went to another Dr.  They did not understand why

xeloda so they only used erbitux and after several  weeks,  tumors

began to grow again.  So if anyone knows any Drs who will prescribe

xeloda for head and neck,  please let us know.   We feel like we had

our miracle and it was snatched from us.

Xeloda is an oral 5FU.  It had been used in combination with Cisplatin for head and neck.

Happy Thanksgiving!

My father also has head and neck cancer.  He just underwent a 17 hour surgery to resect the visible tumor.  In the upcoming weeks, he will undergo proton radiation and IMRT.  Additionally, his medical oncologist is going to prescribe Xeloda.  The oncologist is Dr. Romnee Clark at the Indiana University Medical Center-Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis, Indiana.  Dr. Romnee's phone number is 317-278-7576.  I hope this information is helpful to you.  If there's anything else I can do, please let me know.
