Hi

Does anybody have some info on this regiment (Taxol, Eloxatin, Leucovorin, 5-FU)? I read an article and it seemed very promising but I'm looking for more info.

As anybody out there on it?

thanks

Just back from a Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Network Conference where neuroendocrine specialists Dr. T. O'Dorisio (U of Iowa), Dr. E Woltering and Dr. L. Anthony (both from Louisiana State U) talked.  They had slide after slide with information ont the drugs you listed.  You could contact one of them and get the information you are looking for.  Up until this past week I had no clue that there were specialists for these kinds of cancers.  These doctors are all endocronologist, oncologist, professors, research etc etc etc brilliant.  They have changed our lives and we will be going to see one of them ... They have done so much research on the drugs you mention and many others.  They formulate a treatment plan for each individual and are using a cocktail type approach in many istances (sort of like they do for aids patients but different drugs that are targeted for neuroendocrine cancers).  Hope this helps.  Also, if you contact CCAN they will get you more information about these types of cancer - a great group.

Some other places you can search the web are: acor.org, carcinoid.org, and yahoo groups search on specific types of cancer
