Date: 08/28/2007 I have read alot on this site about people having a vulvectomy and have recently had my second wide excision of the vulva. What is the difference between the two? Date: 11/08/2007 Usully a vulvectomy requires removal of part or most of the vulva, major and or minor labia. If you have a choice a wide excision is always better and less disfiguring than a vulvectomy. To see if it has spread to your lymph nodes they usually do a physical exam, feeling to see if the nodes are enlarged as well as a CT scan. Private Reply Quote Reply to This Message
