I am one year cancer free from tonsil cancer involving one lymph node 3,2 centimeters. I had a neck dissection and 7 weeks of radiation and five chemo treqtments usint toxil and carboplatin. since the doctor doesnt believe it had anything to do with drinking or smoking i would like to know if asbestos can be a contributing factor of this type of cancer. i work in a lab for material testing and after the fact my lab was shut down because of asbestos. i have been working here for 34 years and the tables and hoods i worked on were found with asbestos along with silica dust from concrete cylinders that i would break for compression testing for concrete strength. i havent been able to find many studies but what i did find seems to be suggestive.
