What to do...

My close friend has just recently found out that she has Leukemia.  Unsure of all of the specifics (she has an appointment tomorrow for additional tests) She is has decided to put off dealing with it.  As her friend I want to support her, but am not sure how.  As this online community has some great insight I was hoping that someone could tell me what worked for them?  What did they find helpful, and how can I be there for my friend without being a pest, or pushy?

Help!

Hi, my name is Kay. I had a sister with Acute Mylogenous Leukemia who did not receive treatment and she only lived a little over a year. My husband has Chronic Mylogenous Leukemia and he is taking 400 mg of Gleevec to try to put the Leukemia into remission. Your friend must seek immediate medical care. There are many types of leukemia. Most cases are very individualized as to treatment. Seek an up to date physician who specializes in cancer or even better - leukemia. Let me know how things go.
