I started taking Nexavar two weeks ago.  I did experience a skin rash but it did not bother me.  Blood pressure was fine.  However within three days I got stomatitis (inflammation of the mouth) to the extent I could not eat without pain.  In addition I got severe fatique.

I stopped taking the pills a week ago and the mouth inflammation essentially disappeared.  However even at this time, I can hardly walk.

My questions to users of Nexavar are: If I kept using the Nexavar, would the stomatitis evently have gone away?  If anyone has experienced fatique,  is this a temporary side effect or will I have to eventually go on a wheel chair?

my husband experienced stomatitis & hand foot syndrome too. when it became too severe, his doc ordered him to stop until they healed, and then go on with a reduced dose, and he is doing well until now.

you may try gelclair or magic mouth wash or soda solution rinse for the stomatitis, they worked well for my husband.

there are also some information about the side effects of nexavar in previous disscusion in june or july, you may check them.

Good luck, god bless you

Hello Laven:

Thank you for your response to my questions about nexavar side effects. After  your husband went on a reduced dose of nexavar, did he again experience stomatitis, so that magic mouth wash etc. still had to be used?

Many thank you's for your response.

Hi!  I have been on nexavar for over a year and a half.  I started out with 4 pills and like a lot of other people.  I had severe side effects.  I ended up in the hospital for almost a week.  From then on i have either been on one or two pill regiment.  I have a ct-scan tomorrow so my doctor will have a chance to see if i am status quo or heaven for bid the tumors are getting larger.  Either case he may want me to try 2 pills again.
