my dad was dignosed with bone cancer, slow growing colon cancer and fast growing stomach cancer in Jan 16th of this year. He passed away August 12th, he wanted me to get the message out there that everyone needs to be checked. symtoms or not. be checked for cancer.  he waited to late, his cancer was already in the last stages when he found out that he had cancer. So I just wanted to pass along to everyone that reads this tell your family, friends and neighbors, be checked, be sure, be safe. This message is from my Dad whom i love and miss very much. Please take his advice.   BE CHECKED  it wasnt fun watching him die.......

Beckya, I am sorry for your loss.  And I can relate.  My husband was diagnosed with tonsil cancer last February;  during surgery the (said to be probably benign) mass on his thyroid was removed as well.  This turned out to be a second cancer.  After finishing chemo and radiation for the neck, in June, we started on the process for the thyroid, but also he had a "cyst" removed from his forearm. This proved to be Merkel cell carcinoma, a rare form of skin cancer.  He will be starting radiation for that next week, as well as doing the preperatory steps for treating the thyroid cancer, which we have been keeping on the back burner until these other, more urgent matters can be taken care of.  His prognosis is a lot better than your father's outcome, fortunately, but 3 separate cancers in one year in a
man who has been pretty healthy all his life, has been a major blow.
