Subject: New here, need advice

Hi, I am new here and just wanted to ask some questions. I will start by saying my sister had ovarian cancer at age 21, stage 4 and is now 43 , praise God!! I am now concerned about myself. I have been having alot of female problems. I am 33 yrs old. I have alot of abdominal swelling, bloating, heartburn , and most of the time loose bowels but occasional I cant go at all. I also for the last 6 weeks or so have been urinating all day long and at night. If I dont get to the bathroom I will have an accident. Its like a full feeling on my bladder. I have alot of pain in my ovaries. Even when I am not on my monthly I have sharp pains. I have been so tired and weak.I also stay very hot and sweat , I have never sweat in my life. I also have facial hair very badly and other places as well. I have not been to the dr in 3 yrs and just went this week. It was because I had no health insurance. She ran some bloodwork and the results were ok. Now she ran some more and is going to do a sonogram in 3 weeks.I am scared that she will not listen to me. I did go 3 yrs ago and was told I have endometrisis / adenomyosis . Could it just  be this , or does it sound like ovarian cancer? I would prefer to have a hysterectomy since I had my tubes tied 8 yrs ago. How were you diagnosed? What tests can be done? I am sorry I was so long, I have 4 kids , 2 with Aspergers and 1 with severe Autism so I want to take care of myself to be here for my family. To all the ones going through this or that have gone through this. God bless you, DeAnna   email- --Message edited by CancerCompass staff. For personal protection, email address removed. Give yourself peace of mind; I think you should see an gyn who is also a cancer specialist- that is what I had to do-especially considering your family history. Have them do a CA 125 and a CT- that's what I had to do- and I am so glad I insisted they did.Like you I had a history of entrometriosis (sp) and many of the symptoms you describe- and because I insisted on having more tests from a specialist- they found my cancer in the early stages- I just had surgery 5 weeks ago and I will only need a few rounds of chemo- I can't tell you how lucky I feel that they found it early

Just think best case scenario-you do the tests and its not cancer and you'll sleep better at night!!

I will keep very positive thoughts for you--let us know how you make out

I have the same symptoms. I am 47, doctors tell me i have ibs, irritable bowel syndrome. I have had an ultrasound lower pelvic and all that showed up was a fibroid in the uterus. my mother had uterian cancer and sister cancer insitu cervix. both have had hysterectomys. I dont know what to do, stomach bloating daily. Periods are regular. I am thinking seriously about a hysterectomy. Also the frequency they say is due to having interstisial cystitis. I guess im a wreck but hope nothing serious is going on.
