I just went into remission in the last 8 weeks. This is my first bout with cancer. i checked out a clinical tial  but felt I  still hadn't recovered from chemo enough to participate. Although It's hard to find any data regarding diet I have really changed my eating habits. Tons of vegetables, greens, fruit ect. Almost all organic. I feel my body craving this type of food. I drink green tea and am trying hard to cut out the sugar. There are some clinical trials out there. But there is also a quality of life issue. If you need specifics let me know. My best wishes to you  and your Mom. I will keep you in my prayers. Only someone whose been through it truely knows. E mail me anytime

I too, was dx with satge 3c ovarian cancer in January 2007.  After an emotional rollercoaster and completing all my rounds of chemo, I am currently on a clinical trial of Avastin.  How are you doing and are you in remission.  Any and all info would be wonderful.  Good luck and God Bless.  Mary

Hi: I was operated on for staage 4 ovarian cancer in 2003.  I had debulking surgery and then 6 sessions of chemo with taxeter and carboplatin.  I successfully got the CA 125 down below 35 for over three years.  Last year theCA 125 started to rise and I had a catscan to show the cancer was back.  This time I had 5 sessions of chemo and go single digit readings CA125 of 6.  This Oct my CA 125 had risen again to 29 this time and I will see the oncologist in Nov. for another blood test.  I take supplements, but it is a slippery slope. I seems to rule my life and I don't make any plans ahead of 3 months.  The chemo was very debilerating, an d I had dry eyes and neuropathy in fingers and toes.  I feel fine now and am hoping for the best next month.  The oncologist said I now have a chronic condition and will have to be maintained with the cancer, but I don't know how long this will go on.  Hope this is of some help

Mary,

I would like to chat with you regarding your experiences with ovarian cancer Sorry I didn't respond sooner as I never got the message until now. I am in remission but have had a hard time of it since finishing chemo in sept 06. How are you doing? How do you feel? Good move with the Avastin . Almost participated but didn't at the last minute. Just starting to feel "not sick". email back if possible. Signed Sick of Feeling Like Crap in Collegeville PA.

I'm think you were responding to my message in Oct but it's hard to figure out sometimes. would like to chat with you. I'm the one that was stage 3c. it's been 4 months and its been a long haul back. Lots of aches and pains... bone and joint.
