The Dr won't give me a time frame. My loved one does not want to go though chemo to live a few more months in pain. Has anyone out there cared for someone in this situation?

Take no time frame as a blessing! And motivation!! We have not been given any sort of timeframe for my Dad, and don't want one.  NO ONE can say when it's your time to go to the better side, and having cancer doesn't mean that it's imminent.  Was surgery needed?  Is this a quality of life issue at this point?   I know as family members we have to respect the wishes of our loved ones, but sometimes it can be hard when you want to make them fight, and give them the strength to do so.  God bless, and hope you and your loved one get through this like true Spartans!! (My Daddy says he is one of the 300 (smile)

I don't know old or how heathy dad is. But chemo is not bad for everyone. I have been though 5 rounds. I was lucky. If the side effects are minimal it seems that it would be worth a try. The pain can kept under control with morphine. If you get the dose correct life becomes almost normal. Wish you all the luck.
