Peggy,
I am sorry. I forgot which site we talked on and how to get back into it --- until I got one of their general bulletins.
Since we talked, I dug through my meds and looked for my LDH levels. Mine is a little different than yours. Across '04 it appeared on two reports, with the later report showing a little decline over the first. I don't have any idea what it's an indicator of.
If if haven't told you, my fNHL was diagnosed through the boipsy of a groin lump in Jan '04. At the Houston clinic, bone and bone marrow extratctions also confirmed the presence of CLL as well. That's a very uncommon combination.
We spend the the rest of '04 in the constant follow up and watch and wait mode --- that I call watch and worry. To cut the burden and expense of tracking back and forth to Houston so often, I'm now being monitored locally.
Lumps would come and partially go. Shortness of breath, and at times drenching sweets, and fatigue were the primary symptoms. Oh, bloated feelings and didn't feel like eating much. Just generlly Yuck.
Locally we decided to try an eight week Rituxan series as for what I'd call symptom management. The series ended near the end of February. I'd say that I feel better, energy is higher, drenching is way down to just damp at times.
The Rituxan series wasn't too bad at all. Would feel a bit off for a couple of days or so. Never really nauseated, appetite off - yes. Now we're back to followup exams, CAT scans, etc. Or, watch and wait.
Regards,
Milt N.
