My whole world is spinning. My best friend, partner, soul mate my everything, was just told she had two years to live. We fought breast cancer in 2005. The cancer has reoccurred and metastisized to her spine (L5) and her Ilium (pelvic bone). We have two children and so much left to do. Help me/us fight like hell cause I don"t know what to do! I need to help her see that there maybe hope. Is there hope?
How can any Dr. give you a time frame? Oncologists use statistics because that's what they have to go by. Besides, who knows what they're going to come out with in two years. I have a friend with stage IV breast cancer that's metasticized to many areas of her body. She also has two kids and was preparing for her death. Well as it turns out, she responded well to Herceptin, which wasn't even available when she was first diagnosed. It's been a long haul but she's still here. Take one day at a time, that's all you can do. Hang in there.
Strength and courage to all of you. Blessings.
