Sideeffects From Cancer

Hi, I'm Barb and my husband has Liver Cancer.He has undergone 18 Treatments of Chemo (Texol and Carbo)That Cancer came from the Colon. He had ssurgery and cancer was removed. Then a 2nd Cancer spread rapidly through all the organs. Chemo cleared all of them exept Liver. After 3 month off Chemo, Cancer came back with vengance.
Dr gave him 3-18 month to live and more Chemo, but we will not go thru this again. The 1st 18 Treatments nearly killed him.
Does anybody out there have bad sideeffects like itching and burning? It drives my husband crazy and Dr. have nothing that works.

Hi Ray,

I read your article and went to Costco and bought a bottle of 200 softgel flaxseed capsules each capsule is 1000 mg. The brand is Nature Made. How much flaxseed oil should I take on a daily basis and how much cottage cheese should I eat and at what time each day? Is there anything else the book recommends doing daily for my health? I take daily toprol, altace and zocor as I have two stent implants in heart arteries. Can I take the flaxseed oil plus my daily medication?

Hope things are better with you and your spouse. I had to responsd to your message because you sound like the same situtation we're in here, my spouse started with a tumor in the back of his right eye, the whole eye and tumor was removed in 2002, radiation was done for 6 wks. and one day, everyday, 6 months ago he started having pain in his chest and stomach, I took him to the er. It was discovered he had tumor in the liver, lungs had fluid on them, once the bios. was done, it still took them about a month or more to decide on chemo. He has had three treatments, he has headaches so intense it wakes him up, he has bumps all over his body, that's very red and gets big with yellow looking pus coming out. The dr. states its not coming from the chemo and wants him to see a dermatologist he has been on antibotics for the last four wks. for the bumps, but nothing seems to help. His last chemo treatment was three weeks ago, now his stomach pain is back and we stay 98 miles one way to see his drs unc chapel hill, n.c. I wish and pray for you two, please do the same for us.
