Hi Everyone,
I'm 60 years young, I have this mucus in the back of my throat, I swallow constantly and it never goes away, lately I've been coughing alot, I try to spit the mucus out,and only succeed once in a while, even though I succeed, it still seems like the same amount is left in my throat. Also, when I cough of late, I start gagging and have to throw up, even when there's nothing in my stomach other than the morning coffee's. I constantly clear my throat all day, every day, and whenever I need to yell for whatever reason,..I really cough alot, loosing my voice entirely, and I have to stop in order to get my voice back.
Many years ago, I had my throat checked because I've always had this condition as long as I can remember, and then after my father passed away from what started out as throat cancer, I was very nervous. I believe I got an ultra sound on my neck, plus another specialist put a tube down my throat, and nothing was found at the time. It seems to be getting worse than ever, and I would really appreciate for anyone that has had these symptoms to let me know if they were diagnosed with some kind of cancer.
Thanks, Zeidler
