Does anyone know if a study has been done on tobacco virus? We all know that some smokers get cancer and others don't. Could it be that  virus in the cells of tobacco leaves are transmitted to humans through smoking or chewing tobacco products?

I dont know about smoking.  A cigarette burns at about 1500F.  A virus wouldnt survive.  The generally accepted thought is all the harmful chemicals released in the burning process like nitrogen oxides, hydrogen cyanide, ammonia, and other toxic irritants such as acrolein and formaldehyde, are cancer producing.
