Subject: coping with recovery
Date: 10/15/2007

My sis was diagnosed with bile duct cancer in 6/07 when she went to her mds with jaundice and alot of pain. After the first test to determine what she had she came down with pancreatitis and stayed in the hospital for at least 3 weeks until they sent her to Columbia Presbyterian Hosspital for the whipple surgery. After 8 hours the surgery was completed and then came all the pain. She had a bleed and went into surgery again. After 6-7 weeks she came home.At this point she is waiting for chemo. She is very weak and very depressed not eating a whole lot and having alot of choking spitting up! Its been a long recuperation and we haven't even started chemo.Any suggestions or comment would be appreciated!!!
