sorry...type of cancer was "vulvar"

 

I sure wish someone would answer this...Mine started with HPV, the cervical and uterine cancer.  I had a hysterectomy in 1997...was NED for 11 YEARS...now its back in my vulva and vagina.  had a wide local excision last month and will start Aldara or 5FU after next doc's visit.  I tend to think that once a person gets cancer...it never ever goes away completely...that it could always be back...JMHO   I am now even being tested for Esophageal Cancer.....I find out next week about that.

Hi Cathy,

Thanks for asking!  I went to see the Dr. on Tuesday.  She said everything looked clean, no infection, but that the left side labia and the bottom, weren't healed enough to start the cream.  I have another appointment on the 1st, and hopefully I will be healed enough.  She will do a colpo and then refer me to a gyn-onc.  She said I will probably be seeing both of them through treatment.  After that, every 3 months.

    I am feeling better, I even got on the treadmill for a bit yesterday.  Its a gorgeous day here, so I am out on the deck now and might do some puttering in the yard :) 

   How are things going with you?  how are you feeling??
