A Month After LEEP Procedure

I had my leep done and i am so relieved. I bled for like 2 weeks and before that the discharge had a really foul smell. It is gone thank god! No more bleeding or disscusting discharge. I was told i have hpv and the results from my colposcopy and biopsy told me that i had cin 3. Thats why i had the leep done. It has been a month and the other day i went back for the results and i was told that around the area that was cut out  is still cin 2. The docter told me that the cells may have spread but they also may just go away with time. I have to go back for another pap in jan. If it comes back abnormal i may have to get another leep. Has anyone been through this or something similar and can someone please share their story or experience so that i know what to possibly look for? I am just so scared that the end result will be cervical cancer and/or i will never be able to have more children in the future. Help ease my mind please if only just a little bit. I would really appreciate it!

Hi there

A year ago i had cin-1 then six onths later cin-2, then 6 months later cin-3 and i was beside mysef too thinking this was just going to keep progressing. As soon as HGSIL cin-3 showed up they did the leep proceedure and burnt in case of any left over cells they may have missed. I researched into heaps of information about health, nutrition and found out that most patients with cin had low levels of Folic Acid, and supposedly were not big tomato eaters. I had never taken folic acid even though i take c, b, e, etc; all the time. I started taking folic acid one capsule a day, eating about 2 tomatoes a day, and tried to keep as stress free as possible and yes, i gave up the cigaettes too!. This was a big no no. They said they felt i had cin for the last 20 years!. Which shocked me as i was always regular with the pap tests.
I went for my pap and thin prep/colposcopy six months after leep which was 5 weeks ago and thank God, i got the all clear. No cin at all. So remember it is possible and i know of other women like this too. The Dr's are aware of your Cin and they will treat it and remove it. I was told by a lecturing gyno it takes ten years for cin to get to the cancer stage. it is the most treatable thing

Take Folic Acid, eat plenty of tomatoes, plenty of fresh parsley and spinache,(preferably raw) sweet potato, kale, papaya, tangerines, dried peaches, carrots, pumpkin, green lefy vegetables, orange and red vegetables.

i have read on a website that there was great success for getting rid f this with thepatients taking 50,000 i.u. (international units) beta-carotene, 500milligram of vitamin C, 100 i.u. vitamin , 400miligrams folic acid.

i didnt take the beta carotene supp s i was told it could be toxic in such high doses, but i took all the others daily, i ate 2 serves of orange vege a day, ie; a carrot and some pumpkin.

I really hope this can help you and i know what you are going through and i really hope that you are okay.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to email me back anytime. Stay positive!

All the best
Kind regards
Cheryl

This is Cheryl again, I typed out the vitamin amounts in my last message and realised i left out the Vitamin E, which is th 100 i.u. of Vitamin E.

I can't recommend this as i am not a practitoner. I had only read this on the internet, i guess you might want to ask a qualified person if these are safe for you to take.
Only trying to help and share with you what helped me, that's all
Take Care

Yes God is GREAT!.  He does heal us but we can also heal ourselves thats why he made every plant for us for healing.

When i was going through the tests at the hospital, i was beside myself, and we always think the worst.  One of the nurses had said to me that she had CIN2/3 ten years ago and they treated with the leep and she has been all clear since.  She said to me that i was fortunate that the Dr's are aware that i had CIN2/3.  and that they would not let it get to that stage of cancer.  They were going to montior it and get rid of it.  When i had the leep done th results can back as there was still some showing that the margin was involved.  That really caused me concern as i was scared that that would get worse.  The gyno who did the leep was not concerned as he said that is why he really burnt quite a bit after the leep proceedure just in case of any left there that he missed.  In other words the price sent to the lab obviously showed that there was some left behind, but that was burnt away and the lab wouldnt be able to test that.  I then waited an anxious 6 months to the next colposcopy, which involved a pap and thin prep.  (thin prep is suposed to be far more accurate).

It can be all clear as i told you.  Negative for any CIN at all.

Another thing that i was taking in my diet was the occassional glass of cranberry juice, maybe 2 a week, once or twice a week i was taking a product called Selenium ACE.  Which is vitamins a,c,e, and selenium which is a free radical scavanger, have heard one of the most potent antioxidants.  It is made by Nutra-life and as i am not sure what country you are in, there website is www.nutralife.com.au  Maybe other brands make it, not sure.

I was also taking a procuct called Green Food which has such a large variety of green plants/vege's in it you wouldnt be able to eat that amount.  it is an excellent addition to anyones diet.  If you cant get these i would be happy to help and send them from here in Australia to you.

I think i told you the last email the foods really good for helping get rid of CIN etc;.  Just think the richer and usually brighter the color of the fruit or veg the better it is for you.  Think of Blueberries, they are great and you can buy them frozen in the supermarket.  Carrots, Pumpkin they are bright, capsicum.  I have heard the brighter the better.  Red cabbage.  Beetroot(Red), Blueberries(Blue Purple), Tomatoes(Red), Grapes (Red/Purple), All the berries are great.  Sweet Potato (OrangeRed) Paw Paw or Papaya(Bright Yellow ).  You can see the pattern here with the bright colors.  Potato, turnip not as good, look at the color.  Dont forget to get heaps of green into you.  Grab some fresh spinache and parsley.  i was eating parsley raw and spinache raw sometimes too.  Grab some in your fingers and rub it and you will see the green come out, that is the good stuff the chlorofyl you should have.  Grow you own parsley and spinache in pots if you have too.  I was buying tabbouli from the supermarket and eating that too as it is high in parlsey and has some tomato.  If you eat garlic thats good too.

Grape juice is good too, once again think of the colors.
The brighter, deeper and more intense the color the better.

Let me know how you go with your tests, I will keep you inmy thoughts and prayers too.  Think positive okay and remember that the Dr's see this evey day and they are not goin to let your CIN get to the cancer stage, if they have t do another leep they will.

Take Care and God Bless

Cheryl
