Torisel

My sister had surgery a year ago for clear cell kidney cancer. In Dec, mets to both lungs were found. The lesions did not seem to increase in number or grow on Sutent.  But now she has a second met to the abdomen and had her first Torisel drip. We would like to hear from others who are on Torisel. I understand it's pretty new.

My husband just started Torisel too. He has had 3 treatments. He has mets to his liver, lungs and bones. The Sutent did not work after 7 months. He has had nausea, fatigue and mouth sores. He also has swelling under his breast. I just found out tonight that swelling is a side effect of Torisel too. I wish you and your sister good luck and good wishes. Please let us know what side effects she has. Thank goodness for this message board, so we can help each other.Marleen
