On Monday, my 32 year old daughter in law went to Cincinatti for her chemo treatment. When she was greeted by her Dr. she immediatly knew that something was wrong... He tried to fight back the feelings of emotion when he told this young mother of 3 that this was the last available dose of METHOTREXATE that they had at the facility and had not much hope of finding any more. This drug has helped her to remain functional while being stage 4b with Cutaneous T Cell Lymphoma. Since that time, she has done some research and found some info on the internet about the the situation. Just wondering if there is anyone else out there in the same situation...
If so, my prayers go out to you and your family and I would love to hear from you. Odd how a drug that is sometimes used for abortion can also be a life saver for those suffering with cancer.

My husband received one treatment of Methotrexate in June. It was too hard on his kidneys so the doctor put it on the back burner as a last resort. He then put him on 4 treatments of Rituxin. We do not know yet if the Rituxin worked, but there was significant shrinkage of the brain tumors after one dose of Methotrexate.

Next step if Rituxin did not work is Temolozide, a pill form of chemotherapy. Doctor said to hold off on radiation as long as possible because it could cause problems down the road like about 3 years or more. He also said some people do not experience any future problems after radiation.

Did your daughter-in-law ever get more Methotrexate? How is she doing?
