Would like any info on small intestinal cancers and lymphomas associated with celiac disease.

Hi Donna:
You can try cancercenter.com and just follow instructions. Unfortunately none of us ever sit down ahead of time and come up with a cancer attack plan. The web site is put out by Cancer Treatment Centers of America. The other option is to just start looking on google or some similar engine and try to self educate yourself as best you can. We all do it. Just remember its your body and life. You have choices in everything you do. All of your family and friends mean well, but everyone of them knows of someone, something, or somewhere you should go see, take, or go to. Its not easy deciding, but check out as many options as you feel you have the time to do, and then go for it, and still have the right to change your mind down the road if need be.
Keep your sense of humor if you have one and if you dont, borrow one from somebody. Let whoever wants to help you do something do it if you need them to, and sometimes when you dont need them to because it sure makes them feel good to help.
Personally I had NHL in my chest/abdomen area 3 yrs. ago. Softball size surrounding my aorta and celiac arteries, and attached to the pancreas and duodenum. Eat girl eat! It may take an hour or so to eat a meal sometime, but you stay alive, always a good thing!
Sorry to have run on so long but if it distracted you from your battle for a few moments and put somewhat of a smile on you then it was okay. Dont forget to live everyday as if it was your first and every night as if it was your last. Prayers for you and yours!

What a sweet letter you wrote!
I normally have a good sense of humor, but since my diagnosis, find that is has gone into hiding most of the time. Your reminder to "borrow one from someone else," was cute and, if you don't mind, I will borrow yours for today. I know humor and a good attitude are great helpers in healing -- as Bernie Seigel said in his book. I am early in my treatment -- having just gone through a series of Rituxin for Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and now in a "resting" phase. My diagnosis was early February of this year. What a shock! But then, I guess none of us go into the Dr. expecting them to say we have cancer, do we?
Again, thanks for the uplifting note -- though it wasn't meant for me, I am glad that I could "listen in." Perhaps it WAS meant for me. Many believe that there are no accidents, so, maybe I was meant to read your note today and feel better because of it. Hugs, Leona
