Tammyjo, I'm sorry to here your news. I know this is difficult, but you will be OK. There are a lot of new treatments for lymphoma, and some such as Bexxar, Zevelan, and stem cell transplant are possible cures. I've chatted with patients who received Bexxar in clinical trials and have been cancer free for over 7 years. My wife (Anakay) was diagnosed with stage 4 NHLymphoma in march of 2005. After her round of chemo (R-chop) we decided to have her do the Rituxan maintenance. She has been in remission since her first round of treatment. The research I've done suggest that she go with Bexxar if and when she comes out of remission.

I would suggest that you be very proactive in your treatment and get second opinions as there are a lot of doctors not up on the latest treatments. I hope I haven't hit you with too much too soon, and may God bless you and keep you well.

You need to be staged to find out if it is anywhere else.  Depending on stage and type of lymphoma the treatment would be chemoradiation or chemo only with radiation for local bulky or disease not responding to chemo.

Keep you chin up, in most cases this is treatable and cureable OR can be put into remission for a prolonged time.
