Does anyone out there have a family member on Procrit. This is the drug that is supposed to boost the bodies ability to make red blood cells.

My husband has metastatic lung cancer and after his last chemo his red blood cells and hemoglobin fell drastically. His first shot of Procrit, which costs over $2,000.00 made him less tired for one week. After the second shot we noticed the tumor on his leg growing bigger. After the third shot and some relief from the tiredness the tumor grew even bigger. The fourth shot of Procit did absolutely nothing and he was unable to get out of bed. Meanwhile, the tumor become gigantic at night and appeared to shrink during the day. Now he's in the hospital. They are giving him a transfusion and trying to normalize his blood. Plus more tests.

Did anyone else notice these problems?
