Subject: Thyrogen...scans for recurring thryoid cancer
Date: 11/08/2007

Hello,

It's been 8 mos since my thyroidectomy and 4 mos since my radiation treatment where I had gone off my synthroid for the 4weeks etc.  This time they tried the Thyrogen plan, so I had my shot on Mon. and Tues. Wed was the swallowing of the pill, Thurs (today) was the first scan (they do another tomorrow and also blood work i was told).  The scan today showed "activity/spots/areas of concern" in the intestine area.  When I questioned the girl giving me the test as to the "white spots" on my tv screen, she said, well yes, that is showing active tissue, but we will wait and see what tomorrow's scan looks like.

What does that mean? Can it go away? Tomorrow's test gonna be different than this one?  If it showed up today, why and how will it not be thre tomorrow??  Do I assume it is cancer???

I appreciate any help...

Thanks,  Jo
