Serious Pain 2 And 1/2 Months After Resection?

My mom had a resection Sept 7. She is having increaingly worse pain again in her rectum. The feeling is painful pressurethat starts to radiate through her buttocks and tail bone. She cant eat if she is going away from the house. She gets stuck in the bathroom for several hours after she eats with an urgent feeling to go and alot of pressure, yet she actually has a bowel movement seldomly.When she does is is thin and small

Does she need another colonoscopy now before she starts chemo in the 19th? She had stage II

I assume that your mom had a colonoscopy recently that diagnosed her. It would be very unusual for her to need another one. The pain you are describing could eaily be a nerve type pain. When the resection was done, it could have irritated or damaged a nerve in that area. Have you talked to the surgeon about this? If not, I would suggest that you do.

I realize that it is easy to assume that the cancer is back, etc. but I would highly doubt that that is the case. More than likely, there is some strained muscle or pinched or damaged nerve that will just take time to heal. Call the surgeon.
