For new users of this pet cancer board, it was kindly created by the administrators of Cancer Compass upon request of those of us who had posted hundreds of messages in a single thread on the general bladder cancer board here. To get to that thread, which contains 2 to 3 years worth of posts and info., use this link. I think eventually they will migrate all those messages to this board.

Here is some treatment info. that is fairly new but may help a dog with tcc of the bladder. Dr. Dean Cerf of Ridgewood Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey is doing a new procedure which is minimally invasive to shrink and/or remove the tumor. This doesn't address systemic regrowth but I think the hope is it can slow the disease down and greatly increase the dog's comfort. It is called UGELAB- ultrasound guided endoscopic laser ablation. Dr. Cerf is very willing to talk to any vet about the possibility of a case for referral. My vet was extremely impressed after speaking to him and said that he is truly "thinking outside the box". That's obviously what we need with this disease. Here's the practice's web site where you can get contact info.:

Bless all of you and your fur-kids as they fight this disease.
