Temador Or Carbo/Taxol...Can Anyone Help?

My husband has Stage IV Mal. Melanoma...he has three tumors in his brain (he has had 3 gamma knife, craniotomy and full head radiation) and has two tumors in his liver that have shrunk under the use of 6 cycles of Temador however we just got news that there is now a third spot in the liver about 1/2 inch in size with the other two still remaining stable.  The decision is this...should we stay on the Temador knowing that it has the potential of crossing the blood brain barrier and had kept two spots stable or try this new chemo with carboplatin and taxol?  Does anyone have any insight in helping us make the right decision?  Thank you so much.

We did Carbo/Taxol first and it stopped all spots (adrenal/lung/kidney) and was successful on only half of the liver (the other half grew).  My husband has Metastatic Melanoma, IV.

He went on Temador afterwards, which was great for side effects yet one small lesion turned into five lesions within a period of about four months.

I will say the side effects are better on the Temador and perhaps just keep this as an option unless the T isn't working?
