My 13 yr. old Pit was recently diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her bladder.  Of  couse inoperable and given only 1 mo. to live.  She is 83lbs. and holding her weight.  Except for the blood [only 2-3 drops] after she urinates, she acts and apears perfectly healthy.  She was startd on B.S.S.T. Fri. and I started her on Graviola 650mg. , 2tabs. ,3 times a day.  We're keeping our fingers crossed and praying constantly.   I refuse to accept the 1 mo. diagnoses.  This dog saved my life in 2002 by raising soooo much heck that my son came running from 2 atories down.  I was dead due to a heart attack.  Because of her and my chow I'm here today.  Yeah  I was on life support for a while ,but we've all been doing great  until now.  If anyone has anything that might help please reply.  Also I have startedher on a homemde diet geared towards dogs with cancer.

I am sorry to hear about your girl, she sounds like a great dog. I don't know what BSST is, but please ask your vet about piroxicam--it is the normal drug prescribed for TCC  and has helped us tremendously.

Also hang on to your hope, if you check the other message topics, you'll see many many dogs have well outlived their initial diagnosis.

Good luck to you

Please read my repky tonight from "doodlebug" that is my dog DAiSy's nickname..amazing she is still with us and it's been a year.  I posted this in the regular Bladder postings and replied to someone.

Hope this helps!  Sulfa trimitrorpim antibiotic helps with urination, diet and love..she was only given 2-8 months. andnot even on Peroxicam our choice because she was panting and uncomfortable.

Let me know if this helps.. Hope so and all the best to you !!
