Here is what the report says, I have no idea what most of this means, and how worried I need to be, and what course of action I should take. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm 41 with a history of 20 years of smoking. The test result was as follows;

Some borderline lift hilar lymphadenopathy. Mildly prominent lymphoid tissue seen in the right hilum and mediatinum as well. The left hilum is mildly enlarged probalty due o prominent lymphoid tissue. This may represent mild lymphadenopathy. I see a small amount of lymphoid tissue in the right hilum. There is no mediatinal lymphadenopathy. no pleural or pericardial effusion is found. There is a tiny very dense nodule in the anterior aspect of the left upper lung. This probably abuts the leural. Dependent atelectasis is seen. No lung massess are eveident. No significant bony defects are imaged.

My cardio doctor wants another CT scan in 6 months to see if the nodule has grown. Is this a good course of action and what does the rest of the above mean? HELP PLEASE. This is freaking me out.

Thank you,

I don't know if you ever went back to a Dr or not but if you have not don't wait any longer.  My mom had a very small nodule in her lung and within two months it was small cell cancer and it was everywhere.  DON"T wait.  2nd opinuin.
